LIP BLUSH NEWCASTLE

If you are looking for lip blush in Newcastle, you are not alone. Using small needles, the desired colour pigment is layered into your lips using a cosmetic tattoo device. The outcome is subtle, due to the thin layers that are slowly coloured over the lips. The more we layer the pigment, the denser the results will be. This technique of layering pigments allows us to create different styles of lip blush, from a soft and natural colour that resembles a lip tint to a complete lipstick effect.

Lips fade and lose volume and definition as we age. But now, you can restore a youthful look to your lips with our lip blush treatment. If it is scars that you want to camouflage or fix minor lip symmetry, a non-invasive, minimally painful lip tattoo procedure can benefit you. The procedure takes around two to three hours to complete, which includes the consultation, completing consent forms, mapping your lips and choosing your colour.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips and a semi-permanent form of makeup. A lip blush tattoo is performed by a licensed aesthetician. We use lightly pigmented and more dilute ink than standard tattoos. The procedure results in a flush of colour rather than a heavily pigmented tattoo. Pigmented water-based ink is deposited into the surface tissue of the lips with a mechanical needle. The needle makes a series of dots penetrating the skin as it is moved quickly back and forth across the lips. The tattooing procedure also stimulates blood flow and promotes collagen production. This results in naturally plumper lips.

What Are The Benefits Of A Lip Blush Tattoo?

A lip blush tattoo is a natural-looking cosmetic procedure, perfect for people who want a subtle enhancement of their lips. The gentle shading provides symmetry and definition to your lips, making this an excellent option for people with feint lip lines. Unlike lip fillers, a lip blush tattoo won’t change your lips' shape, size or feeling. It is a natural-looking procedure that simply enhances your natural lip colour. Downtime after the procedure is minimal and swelling subsides within a few days, leaving you with beautifully blushed lips.

How Long Does Lip Blush Last?

Results will always vary from person to person, after your initial session and the touch up, your results should last between 2-5 years. Additional touch ups may be required depending on the person and look desired. Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not last as long as body art ink.

Does Lip Blush Hurt

Pain levels vary from person to person. Strong medical grade topical anesthetic cream is used before and during your procedure to keep you as pain free as possible.

Most my clients say pain level is 3 out of 10. I even get some clients that dose off during the treatment.

Can I Get Lip Blush If I Have Lip Filler

Yes of course you can. I recommend waiting 4 weeks either side. Either get your lip blush then 4 weeks later you can get filler or vice-versa.

How do I choose a colour?

We have an enormous range of blend-able colours and an artist who loves to customised. Colour swatches are available to look through, although it is imperative and super helpful to bring some references of your ideal colour with you to your appointment - this can be your favourite lipstick/pencil/lip tint or even a photo of lip colours you like. The first portion of your appointment is spent designing your shape and colour.

Can I get Lip Blush if I have dark/cooled toned lips.

Yes, however, on the first session we will have to colour correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial colour we tattoo MUST be orange! If we are to tattoo any other colour you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all. When healed at 6 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nudey-pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take multiple sessions. If you are unsure if you have dark or cool toned lips you can send Rachael a picture of your lips in natural light to confirm.
